How to draw fruits?

In this guide, we will walk you through the process of drawing some popular fruits – an apple, a banana, a strawberry, a pineapple, grape and a watermelon slice. By following our step-by-step instructions, you'll soon be able to create your own fruit illustrations with confidence and style. How to draw an apple ?

1. Draw a slightly asymmetrical oval for the body of the apple.

2. At the top center of the oval, draw a small curve to create a small dip.

3. Add a small curved stem coming out from the dip you created in the previous step.

4. Draw a small leaf attached to the stem by adding a curved line on one side and a more pointed tip on the other side.

5. Add subtle curved lines within the apple shape to suggest its three-dimensional form.

How to draw bananas ?

1. Draw a slightly curved line that will be the centerline of the banana.

2. On one end of the centerline, draw a small, sideways “U” shape for the stem.

3. Starting from the stem, draw two elongated, curved shapes on both sides of the centerline to create the body of the banana. These should taper down to a point at the other end of the centerline.

4. Add subtle, curved lines along the banana’s body to indicate the banana’s edges and texture.

5. If you’d like to draw a peeled banana, draw curved, wavy lines from the stem end to create the peel flaps.

How to draw strawberries ?

1. Start by drawing a simple heart shape for the body of the strawberry. You can make the bottom part a bit more rounded.

2. At the top center of the heart, draw a small circle for the strawberry's calyx (the green part that holds the strawberry).

3. Draw five or more curved, pointy shapes around the circle to create the sepals (the green leaves that extend out from the calyx).

4. For the strawberry's texture, draw tiny, evenly spaced "V" or "U" shapes across the surface to represent the seeds.

Of course! Let's add a few more fruits to your drawing repertoire. Here are step-by-step instructions for drawing a pineapple, a grape, and a watermelon.

How to draw pineapples ?

1. Draw an elongated oval shape for the body of the pineapple.

2. Add a grid of diagonal lines across the oval, then draw another set of diagonal lines in the opposite direction to create a diamond pattern.

3. Inside each diamond shape, draw a small curved line for texture.

4. At the top of the oval, draw multiple long, curved leaves extending outward, with some overlapping, to create the pineapple's crown. Vary the length and angle of the leaves for a more natural look.

How to draw grape ?

1. Draw a small, slightly flattened circle for an individual grape.

2. To create a grape cluster, draw multiple overlapping circles in a teardrop or bunch shape. Make some grapes slightly larger or smaller for variety.

3. Add a small, curved stem at the top of the cluster, connecting the grapes.

4. Optionally, draw one or two leaves with jagged edges near the stem.

How to draw a watermelon (slice):

1. Draw a large, sideways "D" shape for the watermelon slice, with the flat side being the rind.

2. Add a thinner, parallel curved line inside the "D" shape for the inner rind.

3. Draw evenly spaced, small, black oval or teardrop shapes for the seeds within the curved area between the outer and inner rind lines.

4. If you prefer seedless watermelon, simply omit the seeds.

Remember to practice and experiment with different shapes and sizes to make your fruit drawings look more natural. Once you're comfortable with these fruits, try drawing other fruits using similar techniques.
